Mark Walther
Mark Walther is a founder of American Communities. Currently, M.r Walther coordinates the site acquisition process, as well as all of the environmental reviews and entitlements necessary for the development of each property. Mr. Walther is also the President of American Community Builders, Inc., which is the General Contractor affiliated with the Company. Prior to 2000, Mr. Walther spent 13 years acting in various capacities with the nation's ninth largest owner of apartment units. Mr. Walther's last positions there included General Counsel and President of its affiliate, National Partnership Equities, Inc. ("NPEI"). In these capacities, Mr. Walther, a licensed attorney and securities licensee (Series 63, 39 and 22), was responsible for all legal aspects of the investor funds sponsored by the firm.
Mr. Walther received his Bachelor of Arts degree with high honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Law, where he was a member of the U.C. Davis Law Review. Mr. Walther is a licensed General Contractor in the State of California. Today, Mr. Walther serves as a Board Member of the Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust, devoting time to expanding supply of inner city park throughout Los Angeles.
